Your "typical" 2 month old

                The rumors are true.
              All babies are different.

But what do typical 2 month old babies do? What is their growth rate? How much should I be feeding my 2 month old baby? Is it advanced that she's giggling and googoo gagaing? Should be actually be rolling over and holding her head up (because she is!)?

What about this oncoming doctors appointment I have in just a couple days. What shots will I be offered? What exam will they do? Will they boost my feeding schedule, will my child have gained enough weight? What questions am I bound to be asked, and which ones should I ask?

Baby center answered a few questions, And I have decided to share: BabyCenter.com

How is my baby growing? I asked:

I was happy with this finding, because my little one, indeed does coo, woo, oh and goo goo as well as giggle and squeal, I love her sounds :) I've also noticed that she is fascinated by everything anyone around her does- they cross their feet, she crosses hers. Someone makes a funny face- she tries to copy it. She also responds to her name!

What kind of doctors visit questions should we be expecting? I asked:

This got me thinking about the feeding schedule again, which I did not find on Baby Center, and also re-introduced the way diapers, question to me, that I haven't been asked since 1 month, as well as the question about her sleep! Ugh, my baby is a great sleeper though. :) Although, I am happy to say she has great eye sight and hearing, she responds very well and she loves bright colors! & so far she lifts her head during tummy time.
Win.

What shots will we be offered? I asked:

The great vaccine debate is definitely something which I plan to handle in a future post, as well as looking more deeply into each shot, side effects and what not- because I am honestly pretty interested in what to prepare myself for.
My daughter will be getting ALL her shots on schedule, except Hep B, she received that at birth.
Ps, I got tDap during pregnancy; so she will be getting her second dose of antibodies :D

So what Will my doctor be looking out for, anyways? I asked:

I'm glad they will be mentioning cradle crap! My child has had a pretty mild case, but I hate the crusty look of it, and it hurts her!
I tried the baby oil, and it just made her greasy... Grr
I wonder if my low-birth weight mini girl has gained anymore weight? After all, she only had gained slightly under 2 lbs at 1 month.

How many diapers a day should I be seeing out of my baby? I asked Google:

At 2 months, my baby probably has 10 dirty diapers (or more!) a day, glad to know she's not going TOO much. :)

My girl is still tumbled up in the newborn slot, and I must say, save for night time, she NEVER sleeps longer than a cat nap... Oops! (Lets say she maps for 20 minutes a time from around 9am to her bedtime which is around 7 pm, unless she fights sleep!)

How much should my baby be eating & how often? I asked Google:
My baby just started taking 3 oz at one time! But, all hope isn't lost, she eats every 2.5-3 hours and snacks ALOT in between.
Doesn't 5-6 oz all at a time, sound a little steep for such a teensy belly?

How big should my baby be?

If you can read that chart, props, because it's too confusing for me!! I'll just ask my doctor :D

But for giggles, I did find and take a fun quiz:
My LO scored a 25 percentile in height, and a 5 percentile in weight according to her last doctor's visit.
I did not know her head stats. I'll look into what that means soon!

But for now all of my 2 month questions are answered and I had fun doing it!

-xoxo
