72 Hours After 1st Shots
We are finally out of the time window for fever and fussiness, and after the initial prick my child has experienced neither.
She cried for maybe 2 minutes until I massaged her legs and then boom, she calmed right down and slept the while ride home.
The First night she had no sleeplessness and did really well, only crying and fighting sleep as much as any other night, and when she was out she was out... Only thing different was she didnt get up quite AS OFTEN to eat as she normally would.
And she slept in a little bit longer, Tuesday morning.
All day Tuesday was just like any other day, she spit up a little more (maybe,) but other than that I would have never guessed that she had even gotten her shots, had I not been there.
When I took her bandaids off, there was only a tiny spot of blood, and she didn't cry one bit.
She slept normally Tuesday night too, with absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, this was about 30-36 Hours after the injections.
Still no fever.
Wednesday we finally went out in the public, Baby visited a few stores and did very well for her first time- still no fever and no extra fussiness, but she didn't nap as much as usual.
Maybe because of the shopping excitement?
I did notice extra dirty diapers though, almost like her belly was sour, and she want eating full bottles- only 1.5-2 oz instead of the usual 3, but she seemed full. This was around the 48 hour, mark.
She fell asleep like a champ, but woke up around midnight (maybe 60 Hours after,)
and seemed to have a little sleeplessness, but still no fever or anything.
Yesterday marked 72 hours, and everything I read told me after 72 hours the chances of side effects were basically zero, and so it looks like she took the shots like a champ!
Although she was extra sleepy yesterday, I think she slept off and on for like 6 Hours, only waking to eat for like 20-30 minute intervals.
She seems totally back to normal now :)
Hope our first shot journey helped...
-xoxo
